Pilot Comittee
A pilot comitte will be elected before the start of the competition. It will be made of 3 pilots. If there is no volunteer the Meet Director will name 3 pilots regarding their experience in both flying in this area and competition. Should this happen, the nomination of each pilot in this comittee must be approuved by the competitors.
The pilot comittee will act both as Task adviser comitte and as Safety comitee.
Meet Director
The Meet Director is also the Safety Director.
Vice Meet Director
A Vice Meet Director will be named, he will be in charge of setting the task with the advises of the Pilot Comitte
Jury
The jury will handel the protests. It will be formed by the Meet Director plus 2 elected persons. If there is no volunteer, the Meet Director will name 2 persons regarding their experience in competition. Should this happen, the nomination of each person in the jury must be approuved by the competitors.
Take off
There will be 2 take off windows: the first for the rigid gliders, the second for the french flexwings. They could partially overlap, should it happen, the flexwing pilots will have priority over the still on ground rigidwing pilots.
Last available WPRS will be used to determine the take off priority.
Pilots registered after the deadline, if accepted, will not have any take off priority.
In order to achieve a fluent take off rate, the "pushing" rule will be enforced.
Safety report
After landing, where ever he landed, each competitor has to report to the organiser. A time limit will be set for each task at the briefing. Should a pilot not report after this time limit has passed, the Meet Director will declare an emergency and ask for search and rescue for this pilot. The cost of search and rescue will be charged to the pilot. Should a pilot decide to leave the competition or not to fly a task, he has to make the Meet Director aware of his decision in order to avoid unnecessary and costly search and rescue operations.
In flight cancelation
Should the Meet Director have to cancel or stop a task for safety purpose, he has to take note of the time he takes his decision and immediately inform the pilots by radio. Pilots receiving the cancelation or stop message have to immediately relay the radio message, fly with legs out of the harness to inform other pilots without radio contact, and land as soon as possible in the best suited place. Should the Meet Director take his decision less than 1 hour after the first start time, the task is canceled, otherwise it is stopped and this means it is valid.
Radio frequency
143,9875MHz. Be aware of the step to tune your transmitter: 12,5KHz.
Messages' priority: 1 emergency, 2 safety, 3 flight operation; small talk prohibited, team talk not welcomed please use another chanel for this purpose.
Pilots proficiency
Pilots flying in this competition must have the rating and level making them able first to identify any potential hazard, then to decide what to do in order to avoid it. For this reason, the organiser cannot be charged for any damage or injury sustained by any pilot, even if the task is not yet canceled as the Meet Director can only have a local view of the weather.
Insurance
Pilots must have an insurance covering any injury or damage they could make to anybody or any property. Their insurance must also cover the search and rescue costs.
